The Deputy Administrator of the Ghana Sports Fund, Simon Appiah, has commended GCB Bank PLC for delivering what he described as an interactive and practical capacity-building session aimed at sharpening the Fund’s operational and strategic capabilities.
Speaking at the close of the two-day training at the Alisa Hotel, Mr Appiah said the presentations were well prepared, current and highly engaging, enabling active participation from all team members.
“First of all, I want to thank GCB for this wonderful presentation,” he said. “Their intentions are clear, their innovations are commendable, and the Fund is eager to take full advantage of this opportunity.”
He described the sessions as practical and interactive, noting that the approach helped align expectations and sharpen both institutions for the future.

According to him, the energy and commitment demonstrated by both the Fund’s staff and the GCB facilitators throughout the engagement were remarkable.
“This programme started yesterday and continued through today, and everyone has remained active and engaged. There are no signs of exhaustion, which speaks to their dedication,” Mr Appiah said.
He expressed optimism about the road ahead, stressing that such engagements strengthen teamwork, enhance institutional capacity and position the Fund to deliver on its mandate to transform sports development in Ghana.
“We believe we have a great team to work with, and we look forward to even greater performance in the future,” he concluded.
The training forms part of ongoing efforts to equip the Ghana Sports Fund with the skills, systems and operational discipline required to manage resources efficiently, track measurable outcomes and deliver sustainable results for athletes and communities across the country.
