The 2026 Gomoa Easter Carnival roared to life on Thursday night with a massive turnout at the Crown Forest Resort, where revellers gathered for an unforgettable Bonfire Night to officially kick off the festivities.
Thousands turned up for the opening event, which featured a lively torchlight procession and an electric atmosphere fuelled by some good music from Kwan Pa Band.

The glowing flames and vibrant energy set the tone for what is already shaping up to be one of the most exciting editions of the carnival.

Patrons described the night as both captivating and refreshing, with many praising the organisers for delivering a memorable packed four-day celebration.

With the momentum firmly established, attention now shifts to an action-packed Day Two, promising an even bigger experience for festival-goers.

Activities lined up for the day include a morning session featuring a tennis tournament, a health screening exercise and a colourful fashion show, offering a blend of wellness, sport and style.

Later in the day, the spotlight moves to the Gomoa Ekwamkrom Community Park, where some of Ghana’s celebrated music icons, including Kofi Nti, Samini, KK Fosu, Ofori Amponsah, Bless, Biss, Kwanpa and Dada Hafco, are set to thrill fans with live performances.

Organisers are urging the public to troop to Gomoa in their numbers to be part of the ongoing celebration, which continues to highlight the area’s cultural richness while creating opportunities for entertainment and economic activity.

The Gomoa Easter Carnival is powered by Joy Entertainment and continues through to April 5, with more exciting events expected in the coming days.
