The Public Prosecutor’s Office in Casablanca has released an individual identified only as A.M. after questioning him over allegations made against him.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the King’s Prosecutor at the Casablanca Court of First Instance said the decision followed a review of documents contained in the case file.
According to the statement, although A.M. has been released, the Public Prosecutor’s Office has directed that investigations continue, with further technical examinations to be carried out.
The statement said A.M. was referred to the Public Prosecutor’s Office on Wednesday, where he was questioned “about the allegations against him” in accordance with the procedures established by law.
The King’s Prosecutor stressed that A.M. was afforded all the rights and legal safeguards guaranteed under the law, including the right to undergo a medical examination.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office also ordered the return of items seized during the investigation, namely two computers, a USB flash drive and a mobile phone.
The statement concluded that the appropriate legal action will be determined once investigations and the required technical examinations have been completed.
