The Chairman of Agona Swedru Fankobaa Football Club, Nana Kwadwo Amakye has made a passionate appeal to the former Chief Executive Officer of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Herbert Mensah to offer financial assistance to the team.
He said the expertise and rich experience of the former Asante Kotoko boss would go a long way to bring the club to not only the First Division but possibly to the Premier Division if he comes to the aid of the club.
Nana Amakye in an interview with the GNA Sports at Agona Swedru on Monday, said the club which is currently in the Second Division was going through serious financial crisis that needs immediate salvation.
He said that the management of the club is presently finding it extremely difficult to pay allowances and salaries of the players.
Nana Amakye said the situation has got to a stage where the Club is finding it difficult to honour some friendly and league matches.
He added the club was therefore going through problems of maintaining and restraining the players from leaving due to financial difficulties.
The Chairman said the assistance of Mensah would therefore go a long way in redeeming the club from its present predicament and encourage the team of making an impact into the First and Premier Divisions and be a relieve to their spectators nationwide.
Nana Amakye also appealed to other corporate bodies and companies to come to the aid of the club to save it from imminent collapse.
