Trendy Ghanaian broadcaster, Kofi Okyere Darko, has debunked media reports suggesting he and Fiifi Banson, a colleague broadcaster, stole Zain credit.
It was reported by peacefmonline that the two broadcasters “almost denied viewers of Rundown, an entertainment programme on TV Africa the opportunity to grab free call credits when they took away Zain reload cards meant for viewers.
This, the report said, compelled Yaw Sakyi, the host of the show to request for additional cards for his viewers.
In an interview with myjoyonline, KOD explained that he and Fiifi were resource persons on Yaw Sakyi’s show but when they were done, he (KOD) jokingly picked two Zain reload cards and gave one to Fiifi.
He said Yaw protested and he (KOD) gave his back, rather demanding money for the reload card but insists it was out of a joke.
“Yes, I took the reload cards but it was just a joke, Yaw is my friend and I am on such terms with him,” he added.
