The opening day of the 2009/10 Glo Premier league registered shocking results, with defeats to defending champions, Hearts of Oak and King Faisal.
League Champions Accra Hearts of Oak were trounced by 2 goals to nil by in-form Heart of Lions at the Kpando Sports Stadium.
Two goals in each half from Kofi Nti Boakye and Samuel Yeboah meant the Lions will translate their dominance in preseason and supremacy over Hearts of Oak, having beaten the champions back-to-back in the Top4 tournament.
