President J.E.A. Mills is wishing Ghanaian Moslem pilgrims embarking on the Hajj pilgrimage the best as they embark Tuesday for the Holy Land of Mecca to fulfill a religious demand.
A statement issued by Koku Anyidoho, Head of Communications at the presidency, said “As our Moslem brothers and sisters begin their journey tomorrow to the Holy Land of Mecca for this year’s Hajj pilgrimage, His Excellency President John Evans Atta Mills is wishing them a safe journey.
“Having had the peace of mind to prepare physically and mentally for the pilgrimage via the provision of the Hajj Village as well as smooth travel arrangements, it is the prayer of President Atta Mills that the pilgrims will arrive in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia safely; partake in the pilgrimage successfully; and arrive back home safely to continue to lend their support to the building of a Better Ghana.
“May the blessings and mercies of Allah the Almighty be with our Moslem brethren.”
