Teachers of the Fuveme Basic School, in the Keta Municipality, have expressed dissatisfaction about the virtual take over of classrooms of the school by domestic animals after classes.
The teachers claim hundreds of goats, sheep and pigs barge into the classrooms that were without doors, litter them with their droppings and urine, making it impossible for teaching and learning to take place unless the rooms were scrubbed.
Mrs Beatrice Korsorku, Assembly Member for the Fuveme-Atiteti-Kporkporgbor Electoral Area, was briefing Mr Sylvester Tornyeava, Keta Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) when he visited the area recently.
The MCE said he was aware of the situation but complained that attempts to make the people keep their animals in pens had been ignored.
Mrs Korsorku said that the animals rushed into the classrooms whenever it rained and called for the fixing of doors to the classrooms.
