A 50-year-old woman, Madam Eso Kyere, was on Tuesday evening electrocuted when live electrical cables fell on her at Moree, near Cape Coast.
An eye witness told the GNA that the cables fell on Madam Kyere when she emerged from her house, near which some workers of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) were repairing faulty cables.
The witness said most of the cables in the area are old and faulty and torched each time there was a storm and claimed that this was the third of such incidents this year.
She appealed to the government and other stakeholders to assist in replacing the cables.
When contacted, the Moree Police confirmed the incident.
