The Airport View hotel in Accra last weekend hosted Journalists and media practitioners to a memorable dinner to acknowledge their support and contribution to the success of the tourism and hospitality industry.
In attendance were both veterans and renowned journalists from the print and electronic media including, the President of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), Mr. Affail Monney, who took turns to savor the drinks and delicious meal made available.
In his welcome address, the Chief Executive Officer of the Hotel, Mr. Francis Fori-Dwumah expressed management’s delight to invite journalists to sample the hotel’s facility, noting that the hotel continues to innovate as its slogan ‘elegance and excellence’ has been at the forefront of its operation since it strives to always put the customer first
He announced the completion of the first phase of its final expansion work in addition to a general refurbishment which is currently underway, adding that under the second phase of the expansion, it will develop a premier mixed use facility comprising apartments, offices and a grand ballroom
“Aside this development, the hotel as a socially responsible company continuously assists society. Notably among them includes support to the Ghana Police Service, 37 Military Hospital, Catholic Church and also training for students undertaking hospitality and management education at institutions of higher learning from Ghana and neighboring countries” he said.
GJA President, Mr.Affail Monney in his remark applauded the Airport View hotel for bringing Journalists together to acquaint themselves with its operations and to interact with the hotel’s management for proper networking
He implored colleague Journalists to give attention to the Tourism and Hospitality industry and promote its activities considering the crucial role it plays in revenue generation and employment generation in the country. He assured that the media was ready to partner the hotel to achieve its objectives.
The Sales and Marketing Manager of the hotel, Mrs. Jane Otu on her part assured guests of quality and top-class service from the hotel touting; that it has well trained staff and top Management team members who are ready to carry customer needs at its fore-front. She also mentioned the significant transformation the hotel has undergone and the fact that the hotel identifies each guest need and adequately meets it thus giving value for money and reasons to always return to the Airport View Hotel.
Airport view hotel is located in Accra, 50 meters from the Kotoka International Airport. It boasts of facilities such as 81 luxury rooms, A Dining Restaurant with outdoor Terrace, 3 conference rooms, a Coffee Lounge, Swimming pool with a Pool Bar, Gymnasium, Massage Parlor, Hotel Shop, Vehicle Rental and Travel Services.
