Former Black Stars management committee chairman Fred Pappoe, has distanced himself from the F.A top job as nominations for the role have opened.
Pappoe, alongside former FA spokesperson Randy Abbey, have been widely tipped as suitable candidates for the role as the quest for formidable opposition of the incumbent Kwesi Nyantakyi remains.
But the Olympics board member tells Asempa Sports he is focused on the club and not on the elections.
“The thoughts I have do not extend to the F.A elections and Presidential nominations. I am thinking about my club and we are focusing on the Elites Cup,” he told Asempa Sports.
“I think I have more important things to think about than that one. I don’t know when or if I am going to pick any form.”
The Elites Cup is a competition targeted by Mr.Pappoe’s Olympics and the board member was hoping the competition will reach a successful conclusion.
“It is an interesting competition which is serving a lot of purposes for most of the clubs. It gives them the opportunity to try players coming out of injury or players who were not getting playing time and also to test a whole lot of formations.“
“We are still keeping on and we hope we will be able to finish with our program up till our final round of matches when the league ends in September.“
Olympics beat Inter Allies 3-1 in the competition last week.
