The 35 year old, who describes herself as a "juvenile coach and lover of grassroots football", picked up her nomination forms on Wednesday.
She must now meet the requirements the forms demand, which include endorsement from 10 clubs in the country by close of business on Thursday.
Despite concerns about how genuine her ambition is, Ramatu told Joy Sports her decision is no publicity stunt.
"I'm not joking. [And] that's what I don't understand. Why should it be so [that people say I am joking].
"It's funny. I'm very sure of this and I will get 11 people to endorse me, go through vetting and face off with Kwesi Nyantakyi."

Speaking on Multi TV's The Pulse, Ofeibea sees her critics cite inexperience as one of her shortcomings, a claim she swats away in contempt.
"Why do people say I'm not experienced? I'm a coach - a professional coach at that - and I love training people. I've trained lots of players and they are going to tell you.
"Some my trainees are in the Princesses, Maidens and Black Queens. If you talk to them they will tell you [that I have been] seeking for sponsorship and all. I have done a lot for Ghana football."
Gunning to become the first ever female GFA boss, she will be looking to challenge Kwesi Nyantakyi, who is seeking a fresh four-year mandate after leading the country's football governing body for 10 years.
