After hours of stiff opposition to today’s parliamentary primary of Korle Klottey, delegates have started voting under a tensed atmosphere.
Party General Secretary Kwabena Agyepong has stuck to his gun to ensure that the election is held today despite growing dissatisfaction among some aspirants and delegates.
Nii Noi Nortey, one of the parliamentary aspirant has also thrown his weight behind the General Secretary that the contest should go on.

But aspirants Philip Addision and Nii Adjei Tawiah have insisted that the primary should be held next week, August 8.
Joy News’ Latif Iddrisu who is at the party’s headquarters in Accra reported accreditation was issued to some delegates who have formed a queue to vote around 10am.
According to Latif, the divergent opinion created some chaotic scene as four police vehicle strategically positioned to quell any escalation of the brewing confusion.
He said a group believe to be in lawyer Addison’s camp has vowed to see to the postponement of the primary.
However Latif said voting begun some minutes to 11am.
