A huge eagle believed to have flown to Ghana from Spain has been found at Chiraa, a farming community in the Brong Ahafo Region.
The eagle, spotted by a farmer on his way to the farm, was struck and wounded by the farmer who had reasoned it was possessed because the animal was wearing some rings.
Speaking to Adom News, Chief of Chiraa Nana Barima-Afari said he was informed by some two men in the town about 7pm last Friday of the existence of such a creature in the community.
According to him, he told the two men to go home with the bird and return with it Saturday morning to be sent to the veterinary officer for treatment.
The chief noted that the rings the creature was wearing had some inscriptions on it in the Spanish language.
He said that when the bird gets better, he would send it to the Spanish Embassy to be deported.
