Mr Alexander Ansong Agyepong, a 60 year-old Commander of the Nsawam Medium Security Prison died on the spot, when his vehicle collided head-on with a Nissan Urvan bus at Kwesi Nyarko, near Nsawam, at about 0330 hours on Friday.The deceased, who was due for retirement in March this year, was said to be travelling from Cape Coast to Nsawam, after visiting his family.Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Alex Wowolo, Nsawam District Commander told the GNA that, the accident occurred when Stephen Amponsah, 35, the driver of the Urvan bus, attempted to dodge a pot hole and in the process ran his vehicle into the commander's.He said Amponsah and 15 other passengers, who sustained various degrees of injury, had been admitted at the Nsawam Government Hospital.Meanwhile the body of the deceased has been deposited at the Police Hospital Morgue pending further investigation by the police.
