Investigative Journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas has cancelled screening in the Ashanti Region of his investigative piece about bribe taking judges.
The cancellation follows an injunction application filed by one of the accused judges, Paul Dery against the Golden Tulip Hotel in Kumasi, which was supposed to be the venue for the premiering of the investigative piece.
Anas in a facebook message said "We have been served with a writ here in Kumasi seeking to injunct us from the Ashanti Regional screening of Ghana in the Eyes of God"-the title of the investigative piece.
"I want to tell the great people of Kumasi that i am terribly sorry for this development. I will urge all of you who have travelled from far and near for this eventful night here in the garden city to remain calm. We are putting measures in place for another day.
"Sorry for the inconvenience once more," he said.
His lawyer Kissi Adjabeng later told Joy News "the premiering is not going to come on. It will await the outcome of the injunction application."
The screening in Kumasi was supposed to be a continuation of a rather successful premiering of the same video in Accra.
Even though the video was shown on two occasions at the Accra International Conference Centre, it was not without controversy.
About five persons are facing contempt charges in court with Justice Paul Dery threatening to have the court jail the respondents for allegedly violating the rules of court.
Dery, one of the 12 High Court judges (there are 22 other lower court judges) captured on video to have traded justice for money and other items, is in court challenging the remedial process being undertaken by the Chief Justice.
He argued attempts by Tiger Eye, the company owned by Anas Aremeyaw Yaw to show the video to the public when the case was still being handled by Judiciary could prejudice the case.
He wants Anas, Bola Ray, head of Starr FM, head of the Accra International Conference Centre and others to be committed to prison sentence.
