Herbert Addo is looking for Ghana to continue setting the standard as they tackle Burkina Faso this weekend in the first leg of the final qualifying in the African Nations Championship - CHAN.
The local Black Stars, are seeking another appearance at the African campaign, designed by CAF for only home-based players of its member countries.
Having won silver in the maiden edition of the competition last year, Herbert Addo is keen to emulate the past successes but his initial task is set on qualifying Ghana.
The local Black Stars will be arriving in Ouagadougou for the weekend's match from Tamale on Thursday.
For the Black Stars coach, who has settled on his 21-man squad, a good performance would boost his sides confidence ahead of the return game with the winner over the two-leg tie qualifying for the competition which will come up in 2011.
Goalkeeper Daniel Agyei has made the cut and he would battle for the starting place in between the sticks for Ghana with Stephen Ahorlu as four players failed to make the final squad after the team's short stay in Tamale this week.
Only two players - Edmund Owusu-Ansah and Jordan Opoku - from the silver-winning side have made the team.
Grouped in Zone West B where three qualifying places are assured, Ghana and five other sides - Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Niger, Burkina Faso and Togo would battle it for places.
