Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) Limited, one of the country’s socially responsible and respected brands, has launched a savings campaign tagged “GTBank Gives Back”, a promo designed to attract and reward new customers.
The campaign, which is scheduled to run from October 19 to the end of January 2016, will reward new customers with gifts when they open account with the Bank.
During the campaign period, customers who open accounts with the Bank and deposit a minimum balance of GHS 200.00 (Two Hundred Cedis Only) would be rewarded instantly with GTBank branded gifts.
In addition to the instant gifts, such customers would be profiled immediately for Guaranty Electronics Notification System (GeNS), GTMobile Service which provides them with a platform to purchase airtime using *737#, Internet Banking, which provides the opportunity to transact business from the comfort of their homes or offices and monitor their accounts as well, and many other services available for convenient banking.
Earlier in the year, GTBank acquired the technology to issue personalized ATM cards instantly, and this means that new customers will receive their MasterCard or Visa debit cards immediately their accounts are opened. The GTBank MasterCard and Visa card gives access to over 1.5 million ATMs and PoS terminals worldwide, and can also be used to purchase and pay for goods and services online.
Managing Director of Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) Limited, Mr. Lekan Sanusi commented that the campaign is part of the Bank’s strategies to reach the many Ghanaians who desire quality banking service, and again reward them when they open an account. “We are a customer-focused Bank, and we always look for ways to put smiles on the faces of our cherished customers. We also believe in the habit of saving, and that is why we are running this promo to give prospective customers a reason to bank with us.”
Mr. Sanusi also stated that, “We realize that the percentage of unbanked Ghanaians is still high. Most people, for one reason or the other, prefer to keep their monies in pouches at home, which is not a safe choice. We therefore hope that this promotion will attract them to come and open account with GTBank, where their monies will be secure. And for opening an account, they get rewarded at the same time and instantly with quality branded gifts– No raffles, no draws.”
Giving details of the promotion, Mr. Nelson Ofosu, who is the Group Head of Corporate Banking 1, said it is an opportunity for the Bank to reward all, and not some, of their new customers. “There are no mini draws and grand draw. We are instantly rewarding each and every new customer who opens account with us with the minimum GHS 200 deposit from now till the end of January 2016.”
He further explained that the type of reward received will be based on how much the customer opens the account with. “This means that the more money you open the account with, the greater your gifts.”
General Manager of Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) Limited, Mr. Daniel Attah added that, “This promotion is not restricted to people in Accra; it is for everyone in Ghana. Just walk into any of our 32 branches nationwide, open an account with the minimum deposit and walk away with a gift.”
Since it started operations in Ghana in 2006, GTBank has maintained its stance as a customer-focused Bank by rolling out various accounts including Current, Savings, Smart Kids/Teens, GTCrea8 and Seniors Accounts, all designed to suit the average Ghanaian saver.
In recognition of the Bank’s quality management system and commitment to customer satisfaction, GTBank was named as the “Most Customer-focused Bank” in 2012. The unwavering adherence and dedication to quality service and customer satisfaction makes GTBank the preferred Bank for many in the country and beyond.
