Mr Joshua Ampong, Elder of the Apostolic Church, Ghana, Kpormeitey Assembly branch, has observed that one way to sustain peace and democracy is for Ghanaians, especially Christians, to nib controversies in the bud before they degenerate into quarrelling and unhealthy criticism.
He said families, friendship and nations have been torn apart because
of the inability to overcome tempers and "prevent trivial things from exceeding bounds".
Preaching a sermon on Sunday at Kpormeitey, a suburb of Kasoa, Elder Ampong said the beginning of strife is like releasing water which if not blocked, flood follows and the consequence is anybody's guess.
He said "you must be united ever than before and guard against vices that
would derail peace and the democratic dispensation being enjoyed by
all of us".
Elder Ampong called on Christians to lead exemplary lives worthy of emulation.
