The Tamale Metropolitan Security Committee (METSEC) has appeal for calm and restraint following the unfortunate and tragic incident leading to the loss of life near Nangbag-yapala community in the Tamale Metropolis.
In a statement issued and signed by the chairman of METSEC, Alhaji Abudulai Harruna Friday, the situation in Garizegu have been brought under control through the combine efforts of the METSEC and the other security agencies and further efforts are being made to ensure lasting normalcy in the community.
According to the METSEC, a number of suspects have been picked up for interrogation and the METSEC wishes to make a passionate appeal to residents of Garizegu, especially women, children and the elderly, who fled this hitherto peaceful community to return to their respective homes.
The METSEC further wants to assure all in the Garizegu Community of the presence of the security agencies to ensure their safety and unwavering protection as they go about their normal duties.
