Antoinette Delali Kemavor, a student of Central University College was crowned Miss Ghana 2015 at the Accra International Conference Centre, during the wee hours of Sunday, November 8, 2015.

After weeks of intense training and grooming, Delali emerged winner after beating competition from 20 other beautiful intelligent ladies.

The winner of Saturday’s finale (on November 7) who reads pharmacy describes herself as beautiful, curious and a daring young lady with a fighting spirit.

Afua Aseiduwaa Akrofi, a student of the University of Ghana, studying Political Science and Theatre Arts was 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up was 24 year-old Rebecca Asamoah, a dental surgery Assistant at the College of Health in Kintampo in the Brong Ahafo region.

When the Volta region representative was announced as the winner, the overwhelmed Delali could not help but shed tears amidst cheers from her fans in the auditorium who nearly disrupted the show.

The night started with 21 beautiful, eloquent and confident ladies in the running but in the middle of the competition that number was reduced to ten.

The ten gave a presentation of their dream projects if selected as Miss Ghana. They later answered questions from the judges after which five ladies made it to the final round.

Some of the highlights of the night included a showing off swim wears, evening gowns made from African prints and the highlife dance session.

Delali took over from former queen and Miss Ghana brand ambassador Nadia Ntanu.

Judges for the night were actress Selasie Ibrahim; Inna Mariam Patty; actress Juliet Ibrahim; former Miss Ghana queen, Matilda Alomatu; Chilean Business Manager, Caroline Benjamin; Executive Director of FC Skin and Beauty Klinik, Shika Obeng Kamara; Business Development Manager of CFAO, Ghana Angelo Oukoton; and Entrepreneur, Amara Deep.

All the three queens were rewarded with cars from CFAO Motors and other souvenirs from the sponsors. The winner will represent Ghana at the prestigious Miss World pageant in China later this year.

Traditional rulers were there to support contestants from their regions, while some ambassadors and media persons graced the finale.

The event witnessed outstanding performances from ‘Simigwa Do Man’ Gyedu Blay Ambulley, talented saxophonist Steve Badu, Mr. World Ghana winner Nii Tackie Laryea and singers Wiyaala and Sherifa Gunu.
