The Deputy Registrar for Academic Affairs of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Mrs Christie Okai-Anti, has appealed to Non-Governmental Organisations, philanthropists and companies to support the development of education in the country. She said their support would go a long way to address some of the needs of institutions of higher learning, especially in the areas of infrastructure development and academic equipment. Mrs Okai-Anti said this when she received on behalf of the University a colour printer and its accessories from Mr Joseph Kwame Armah, a former student of the Department of Mathematics Education of the University. She said the nation could not develop without solid and quality education for people and emphasized the need for all who are interested in propelling the nation forward to contribute towards its development. Mrs Okai-Anti expressed appreciation to Kwame Armah and pledged to put it to good use. She called on directors, lecturers and the university community, especially past students to emulate him.
