The precinct of Martyrs of Uganda Catholic Church in Accra on Sunday was been splashed with human excreta in what is believed to be in protest against the visit of Archbishop Palmer Buckle.“We found some human excreta spread across the main entrance of the church premises this morning,” Stephen Avornyo, General Secretary of the Parish Pastoral Council confirmed to Joy News’ Yaa Asamoah.Mr Avonyo said the act came as a “shock” to them, more so when there had been no disquiet or disagreements in the church. The walls of the church also had offensive posters pasted by the unknown and disgruntled persons demanding the resignation of the resident pastor and the Archbishop. Some of the inscriptions on the posters Steven Avonyo confirmed read; “Palmer Buckle if you want more money then sell your $2 million Trasaaco mansion.“We want the resident priest and the Arch-bishop removed!”Palmer Buckle is expected to officiate a confirmation ceremony at the church. It is unclear why the act was done but sources say it is linked to recent disagreements between some members of the church and the leadership on a purported takeover of a three storey facility by the Archbishop.Yaa Asamoah said the church premises had been cleaned up with the assembly entering its second service. The environment she said was not stinking, at least at the time she arrived.Meanwhile, Palmer Buckle has begun the officiating ceremony under tight security, Yaa Asamoah confirmed.Story by Nathan Gadugah/Myjoyonline.com/Ghana
