Stranded passengers of the Ghana International Airlines (GIA) started checking-in on Monday to board flights to their various destinations. The passengers were supposed to have left the country on Wednesday 28th of April, 2010, but were stranded at the Kotoka International Airport for reasons yet to be explained by the Airline officials. Some of the passengers slept at the Airport, Asempa News has learnt. Confirming the news of the checking-in, a passenger told Asempa News that those who were supposed to have gone on Friday were the first people to have checked-in. “We are doing a checking, but they say those who were supposed to have gone on Friday are doing it now. They say they would check if those who were supposed to have gone on Saturday could join them”. The passengers who are traveling to Düsseldorf- Germany and UK have been sleeping at the Kotoka International Airport since Wednesday, but no official communication has come from GIA officials.
