The plea by Joy FM to its cherished listeners to save the life of a young hole-in-heart patient continues to yield dividends with individuals and corporate organizations heeding the call.
On Friday, the Ghana Airports Company Ltd donated an amount of GH¢ 1,000 in a bid to save the life of little Nana, who hospital authorities and parents say cannot walk when he is of age to run.
A Boston medical team at the Okomfo Anokye Hospital who did a temporary procedure on little Nana said a total amount of $80,000 is needed to conduct a successful operation.
Little Nana is said to have been born with the condition and easily gets infection.
Donating a token of GH¢1,000, Iddris Malik, chairman of the Finance Welfare Association of the Ghana Airports Co Ltd said they were touched by the plight of the patient and decided to contribute their widow's mite to alleviate the misery of little Nana.
Iddris was accompanied by Jennifer Crabbe-Oddoye, Financial Secretary of the Association and Peter Odei member of the Association.
