Joy News retract the story broadcast on the 18th of September 2015 in which it was stated that structural cracks had appeared in the Melcom plus store located at industrial area, Kaneshie, Accra and that those cracks were a danger to members of the public who patronized the store.
we have subsequently been made aware that what we believed were cracks are in fact expansion joints which pose no threat whatsoever to the public.
whilst our actions were not actuated by any malice whatsoever in broadcasting the story, we nevertheless wish to retract the story wholly and to render an unqualified apology to the management and staff of Melcom Ghana limited for any embarrassment and negative effect our story may have caused them.
