Travelling and economic activities in the Affram Plains district in the Eastern Region as well as Yeji and Dambai in the Volta Region would receive a massive boost in the coming days.
This follows government's decision to relocate the two ferries at the Senchi landing site and the commissioning of a new one for Yeji, Dambai and Affram plains respectively.
Announcing the decision to send the two ferries at Senchi to Yeji and Dambai, President John Dramani Mahama also disclosed that government has procured another ferry which is relatively larger than the existing ones and would be commissioned soon to serve the people of Affram plains, Amakwatonu and Kpando.
The President was speaking at the commissioning of the rehabilitated Adomi Bridge in the Eastern Region.
"The decommissioned ferries are going to be transferred to other crossing points in other to strengthen ferry services at those points,” the President said.
