The Upper West Regional Police Command has busted a syndicate notorious for stealing motor bikes that has been operating in the Northern and Upper Regions.
Seven teenagers belonging to the group are in the custody of the Wa police for stealing several motorbikes in the region and sending them to either Tamale or Bolga for sale.
One of them was arrested in Wa after he stole a motorbike belonging to his neighbour which led to the arrest of six others including their henchman in Tamale, nineteen year old Yakubu Ibrahim.
Joy News’ correspondent in the Upper West Region, Rafiq Salam reports that further interrogation by the Police led to the retrieval of one motorbike abandoned in the bush.

But the Upper West Regional Crime Officer Superintendent Fuseini Musa Awinaba says the owner of the retrieved motorbike has not been traced yet.
