Mr. Rowland Atta-Kesson, member of the Constitution Review Commission (CRC), on Thursday advised Ghanaians to be abreast of the 1992 Constitution to enable them to prevent the violation of their human rights.
He expressed worry that some people were ignorant of provisions of the constitution, especially those pertaining to fundamental human rights.
Mr. Atta-Kesson was speaking at a two-day workshop organized by CRC for assembly members, heads of department and representatives of identifiable groups, to gather suggestions for the review exercise, at Sunyani.
Mr. Kwasi Oppong Ababio, Sunyani Municipal Chief Executive, asked Ghanaians not to politicize the exercise, adding that it was part of government's efforts to promote good governance and deepen country's fragile democracy.Source: GNA
