The Ghana Statistical Service will Wednesday announce the rate of inflation for May.
An indicator of price movement inflation has been on a persistent decline for almost a year now.
It dropped to less than 12 percent in April for the tenth consecutive month. At 11.66 percent, inflation is at its lowest in more than two years.
There are however indications the persistent decline may be coming to an end and that government is unlikely to realize its single-digit inflation target.
Analysts fear an impending increase in salary levels in July and the recent increase in utility tariffs could get inflation going up again.
Government however remains optimistic. Central Bank Governor Kwesi Amissah-Arthur is also confident inflation is heading toward single-digit. He believes this could be achieved by September.
