An unidentified dead body was this morning found in a vehicle of a driving school, High Grade Driving Centre at Hong Kong here in Accra.
A passerby raised an alarm when he smells a repugnant stench from one of the fleet of vehicles belonging to the school.
The bloated body of the man believed to be in his early 30s had bruises and lacerations on his face and back. His head was buried under the driver’s seat with blood on the floor of the car. He was in a brassiere and an under pant.
It is not clear what caused his death but curious onlookers believe he was killed elsewhere and dumped in the vehicle which has not been in use for a while now or might have engaged in robbery and sought escape in the vehicle and died later.
“I was in the house when I heard there is a dead body in the car. I was just shocked when I came and saw the whole incident,” Michael Bekoe, a resident of the area said.
“It may be a planned thing. He might have been killed and dumped into the car. I think this occurred three or four days ago because it smells bad,” Nii Armah speculated.
Staff of the school were dumbfounded and refused talking to Joy News saying their boss had gone to the police station to report the incident.
Meanwhile, personnel of the Hong Kong Police Post, 100 metres away from the incident said it is too early to determine the cause of the man’s death.
Investigations into the case are ongoing by the police.
