Alhaji Seidu Sampson Abudu, the Bole District Chief Executive, has given his official accommodation to two doctors posted to the district while staying in his private house.
He told newsmen that he had to do this because the Assembly was finding it difficult to provide accommodation for officers posted to the district.
According to him, he also wanted to make the two medical officers comfortable and encourage them to stay in the district to provide quality medical care to the people.
Alhaji Abudu stated that the assembly had renovated the bungalows of the District Commander of Police and that of the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) at a cost of GH¢ 30,000.00.
He explained that the two bungalows were in a deplorable state and the assembly had to use part of its Common Fund to renovate them and make them comfortable for the officers to motivate them to give off their best in the provision of security in the district.
The assembly also renovated the offices of the Ministry of Food and Agriculture which also houses the Audit Service and the Rural Enterprises Project Office at the cost of GH¢ 40,000.
He said the renovation of the MOFA offices also became necessary as it was abandoned since its construction in the 1970s.
