One of the vehicles in the First Lady’s convoy is reported to have been involved in an accident at Buabeng near Ejwira Sekyere in the Ashanti Region.
The First Lady Enerstina Naadu Mills is on an official assignment at Ejura.
According to an eye witness, Issaka Sena, a tipper truck driver failed to heed to signals by the despatch riders of the convoy and collided with one of the Land cruisers leading the convoy.
A second Land Cruiser, he said, veered off the road and fell into a ditch.
The First Lady is said to be safe.
Kumasi-based Gem FM reporter, Nana Appiah, also told Asempa FM that two drivers of the fleet are said to be injured and receiving treatment at the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
Ashanti Regional Minister Kofi Poku Manu also confirmed the story on Asempa FM’s Asempa Today programme but said the First Lady "escaped unhurt, and is very safe".
