A total of 3,746 malaria cases were recorded at the Out Patient Department (OPD) of Nkwanta District Hospital between January and March this year.Sebastian Djentuh, Nkwanta District Health Information Officer speaking to the Ghana News Agency at Nkwanta said 1,552 cases of acute respiratory infection; 1,152 cases of diarrhoea and 516 cases of skin diseases were recorded during the period.
He said 333 cases of malaria in pregnancy and 275 pregnancy and its related complications were recorded.
Mr Djentuh said 238 cases of typhoid fever was recorded.Source: GNA
