The National Disaster Management Organization says relief items for victims of the weekend’s flood should reach them by the end of Monday.
The downpour left in its wake floods which caused six deaths and destroyed property estimated to run into billions of cedis especially in the low lying areas of the capital.
The affected suburbs include Kwashie-Bu, New Gbawe, Gbawe, Kwashieman, Awoshie, Santa Maria, Sakaman and Mallam.
Victims have been complaining bitterly about the lack of support from the relief coordinator.
They also blamed the NADMO and other relief agencies of failing to help rescue them when they were in difficulties.
The victims explained that in many instances, relief agencies lacked even the basic equipment to help the cause and cited an instance when an ambulance of the NADMO got stuck in the floods and had to been abandoned overnight.
Others however called on government to better equip the emergency services to enable them live up to expectation.
