The Brong-Ahafo Regional NDC is promising to intervene in a feud between executives in the Wenchi constituency and the District Chief Executive there.
NDC members in the constituency accuse the DCE, Nana Yaw Adjei, of corruptly awarding contracts.
They also allege the DCE is arrogant and disrespectful to party members. The angry supporters on Monday threatened to forcibly remove the DCE if government fails to do so.
But the party’s regional chairman is appealing for calm. Opoku Etuaahene told Joy News the party will thoroughly investigate the allegations and take the appropriate action.
He said assembly contracts are not for only members of the ruling party and that the allegation that the DCE was awarding contracts to outsiders is not sustainable.
