Four persons have been arrested at Nakpanduri in relation to the shooting and killing of General Constable Prince Agyare on Sunday October 17.
The Ghana News Agency (GNA) reports that those arrested are Yenuduki Kombian, Bitian Kombian and Fintima Kunchan for habouring Johnson Kombian, alias 'Borger', the alleged mastermind behind the attack, and one Tallata Sonika.
Johnson Kombian, described as a hardened criminal is at large and is on the wanted list of the police for escaping from Tamale Prisons.
Reports reaching myjoyonline.com, however indicates that one more police officer, Constable Owusu-Frimpong, has died of wounds he sustained after being shot by Johnson KombianThe police officer is said to have passed away on Thursday dawn in the Northern regional capital Tamale as the police administration was preparing to airlift him to Accra because of the critical nature of his injuries.The death comes shortly after the police had announced a bounty for the capture of Johnson Kombian, who broke jail and later ambushed and fired upon four officers killing one instantly and injuring three others.The other injured policeman, Lance Corporal Osei Bonsu was airlifted to Accra for treatment after the incident.The public is therefore being advised to be wary of Kombian, saying "he is a very desperate person who could cause harm to life and property".Source: Myjoyonline.com/Ghana
