Zain Ghana has partnered with Multichoice Ghana to provide their customers with an easy way to pay their DStv bills using the award winning mobile commerce service ZAP.
The ZAP service – whose partner banks include Standard Charted Bank, Ecobank and United Bank for Africa - allows customers to top up airtime, send and receive monies and pay for goods and services at their convenience.
To pay for their DStv bills, Zain customers who are registered on ZAP simply have to load electronic money (e-value) on the phone wallet from any of the partner banks, Zap agents, Zain shops or Distributor outlets.
At a short ceremony to launch the partnership in Accra, Mr. Philip Sowah, Country Manager of Zain Ghana, remarked, “Zap is a unique and versatile service which is revolutionalising our methods of monetary transactions” and that the partnership with Multichoice Ghana is the latest in the many situation where ZAP electronic money (e-value) can replace cash.
Multichoice Ghana acting General Manager Cecil Sunkwa-Mills, speaking at the launch, stressed on his company’s commitment to form mutually beneficial partnerships.
He said the partnership with Zain’s Zap service would greatly enhance the convenience of subscription payments of DStv by allowing customers the flexibility of 24/7 payment anywhere in the country.
“It is a very quick, simple and safe process [which] will enhance our customer’s satisfaction and promote growth,” he said.
