Oceaneering, a global oilfield provider of engineering services and products, has opened a branch at Takoradi.
Mr. Dale de NEEF, an Intervention Tooling Manager of the Company said at a day's open day of the company at Takoradi last Friday that Oceaneering is in the country to support the oil industry.
He said the company, which provides services and products to offshore oil and gas industry players with focus on deepwater applications, was ready to play its role in Ghana's oil and gas sector.
Mr. de NEEF said the company would particularly provide intervention tooling for drilling by Tullow in the Jubilee Fields.
He said Oceaneering would employ large percentage of its staff locally and offers them skills training.
Mr. de NEEF said the company's products which included Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV) and Mobile Offshore Production Systems are designed to provide solutions to deepwater technical problems.
Mr. Paul Evans Aidoo, Western Regional Minister and Mr David Yaro, Chief Director of the Regional Coordinating Council, participated in the open day activities.
