Asunafo South District Security Committee in Brong Ahafo has invited Nana Kwadwo Boadi, Chief of Siana, to answer allegations levelled against him by some census enumerators.
The enumerators, dispatched from Atwima Mponua in Ashanti region to undertake the national exercise at Siana in the district were allegedly chased out by residents of Siana.
There has been a festering impasse over political demarcation in the area.
As a result of the incident, census materials were alleged to have been returned to Nyinahin, district capital of Atwima Mponua through the instrumentality of Nana Boadi.
The Ghana News Agency (GNA) gathered that Siana and Nkawie in Ashanti region have been at loggerheads over the political boundaries of the two regions and that had impeded the smooth enumeration exercise in the area.
Close sources indicated that the electoral boundaries between the two towns were demarcated in 2006 by the Electoral Commission.
When contacted, Nana Boadi appealed to the government to come out with a clear identification of the electoral boundaries in certain parts of the district.Source: GNA
