Ghana legend Anthony Yeboah has stepped back into Ghana football after realising, that he cannot live without the sport.
Yeboah who played for Frankfurt and Hamburg SV in Germany as well as Leeds United in the English Premier League is hoping his Yegoala FC club can compete well in the second tier of football but more importantly provide many of the young boys he has gathered from the Kumasi area a chance to fulfill their football dreams.
Yeboah calls himself the founder; president and chief executive of the club with his former international team mate Frimpong Manso in charge of the coaching duties at the club.
The striker will travel with his players for a meeting with former international team mate Abedi Pele in Accra on Friday as both ex-national stars prepare their various teams for the long road to the Ghana premier league.
For Yeboah though the Ghana premier league is not an immediate target for Yegoala FC.
"I am in no rush. For me it is not so important that we should get to the premier league. I am more concerned about building a very good team, a team that is capable of competing at the highest level when it gets there." he told KickOffGhana.com
"We all know football is business but it is also something you gamble on. I know that for a fact but I am not worried. I am more concerned about helping give young boys a future. I will be happy to run this as a business but I came from this situation, I know the difficulties so helping is key. I hope that one day I can get my money back but it is not the most important thing."
Yeboah's club will begin their campaign in the National First Division campaign on November 27.
