The Black Queens on Wednesday suffered a painful 1-2 defeat to Cameroon in Group B of the ongoing African Women’s Championships.
The Queens took the lead in the 25th minute but the Cameroonians rallied back late in the first half and slotted home two crucial goals.
Tried as they did, the Queens failed to earn a point in a match they dominated.
The result puts Ghana in third position behind defending champions Equatorial Guinea and Cameroon who now top the group.
Equatorial Guinea beat Algeria by a lone goal in the day’s first match.
The Queens must beat the defending champions in the final group game or risk first round elimination in the successive tournaments.
