A defiant National Youth Organiser of the CPP, Ernesto Yeboah, says he does not recognise a decision of the party to suspend him, calling it a 'radio suspension'.
He says he is yet to receive an official letter from the party four days after a decision to suspend him and the party's General Secretary was announced in the media.
'If you want to suspend a member, you do not do it on radio....even if they do not respect me, they should respect the party because its dignity is at stake. I haven't even received a phone call or a text message from anyone,' he stated on Adom FM on Monday.
Mr Yeboah led a CPP Youth League to petition the Commission on Human Right and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) to investigate President John Dramani Mahama for receiving a Ford Expedition gift from a Burkinabe contractor in 2012.
After a National Executive Committee meeting on Thursday, June 30, 2016 the CPP suspended Ernesto Yeboah and General Secretary, Nii Armah Akomfrah for acts of indiscipline and publicly condemning the President for accepting the Ford gift.
Ernesto Yeboah believes they have been unfairly treated by the party because they have not been given a hearing.
"Clearly, they have flouted all the rules of natural justice. They have breached the constitution itself by denying us our chance to be heard," he asserted.
According to Mr Yeboah, the party would have honoured its members who are championing the fight against corruption if the leadership was interested in fighting corruption.
He has vowed to continue working as the Youth Organiser of the party until the decision is officially communicated to him.
'I am preparing to go to my office by 10:00 am today...I have to visit some constituencies for discussions on '2,000,000 votes for Greenstreet' proposal that I presented to some executives,' Mr Yeboah added.
Ernesto Yeboah insisted he will continue to fight against corruption in the country as he believes that is in the interest of the masses.
