Tata Africa Holdings Ghana Limited (TAHGL) has officially inaugurated a fully functional state-of-the-art Sales & Service facility in Kpone today, November 8th 2010. The sales, service & spares facility is intended to serve customers in the Greater Accra Region. It would complement the existing network of TAHGL Authorized Dealer PHC Motors in Accra and other cities. It will enable customers to buy selected range of TATA brands and enhance quality of service from TATA. Minister of Trade and Industry, MS. Hannah Tetteh said the relationship between Ghana and China in the past years has grown from strength to strength, adding that the investment opportunities in Ghana show investors have trust Ghana as a good place for business and employment opportunities and a good platform to reach out to the rest of Africa. She said the TATA facility is one such facility that boosts employment opportunities for the youth in Ghana. She urged them to regard employment opportunities not only as income generating avenues but platforms to develop themselves. According to the Regional Director of TATA Africa Services, Sudeep Ray, the new facility demonstrates Tata’s commitment to providing superior after sales service and reaching out to its current and new clients in Ghana. He explained that the sales facility offers prospective car buyers the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the TATA brands and to make informed purchases. TATA vehicles are designed for every need of the customer with reliability, robustness and adaptability to the African market. Model range varies from passenger cars with hatch back, Sedan, station wagon options, pickups with 4X4 / 4X2, Double cabin / Single Cabin options, mini truck at very affordable price, Light goods carrying vehicles, medium Commercial vehicles, Heavy Tippers and multiple application Vehicles, Small and Big Buses. In a speech read on his behalf, Minister of Transportation Mike Hammah said ‘Ghana appreciates TATA’s contribution towards the investing in the transportation sector in Ghana, adding that for the past years that TATA has been in Ghana, it has become a pacesetter in the industry in terms of innovation of new products, customer satisfaction, among others.’ TATA Africa Holdings began its operations in Ghana in 1998. Its primary operations include the sale of TATA vehicles, spare parts and provide after sales service. TAHGL also deals in steel products, mining consumables and forklifts. TAHGL is a subsidiary of the TATA Group which has its headquarters in India is operational in several African countries Kenya, Ghana, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
