This year's Takoradi Open Golf Championship kicked off on Saturday with 65 golfers including nine females participating in the event.
Dr Kwame Sarpong-Peprah, Captain of the Takoradi Sports Club in an
interview with GNA Sports at Takoradi, said the golfers were drawn from
other golf clubs across the country including Achimota, Tema,
Obuasi, Kumasi, Tarkwa and Benso Golf Clubs.
He said the tournament is for amateur golfers who would play in the
scratch, the main event, the handicap and the supporting event.
