The Ghana Water Company Limited in Tamale says it cannot be blamed for the delays in completing expansion works on the Tamale Teaching Hospital.
Managers of the company say contractors working on the hospital rather failed to follow procedure to connect water to the construction site.
The contractors told the regional minister during an inspection tour that they were unable to finish work as scheduled because of erratic water and electricity supply.
But communications Officer of the company, Nii Abbey, says that is not true.
“They never expressed this concern that they were having inadequate water supply simply because they know that officially they have not applied to us. They have not officially applied to Ghana Water Company, AVRL Tamale Branch within the Metropolis.
He assured that once they officially apply to the company, water will be supplied and treated with all the urgency it deserves.
