Kwamanman Rural Bank Limited in the Ashanti Region has recorded a significant increase in deposit mobilization through a rebranding and reconfiguration of branches.
Bank officials will not disclose figures but Board Chairman, Newman Dapaah says the facelift drive has created congenial working environment, which is attractive to customers.
The investment in rebranding of all seven branches of the bank started in 2008 as part of a wider strategy to competitively position the bank in the financial services industry.
Speaking to Luv Fm at the commissioning of the refurbished branch at Amakom in Kumasi, Mr. Dapaah noted credit to customers will be increased in 2011.
“With the rebranding, we have witnessed a quantum jump in the bank’s liquidity and I think it gives us the leverage to be able to give enough credit,” he said.
Mr. Dapaah emphasized the bottom line of the project is to increase the shareholder value for shareholders to benefit from the investment.
All branches of Kwamanman Rural Bank will later this year be connected in a Wide Area Network (WAN) in line with a nationwide computerization project.
