The Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) will today, begin work on migrating civil servants onto the Single Spine Salary Structure (SSSS).
The migration of this group of public sector workers has in recent past, been delayed by some disagreements.
Speaking to Joy Business News, Chief Executive of FWSC, George Smith-Graham, said the migration involves job re-evaluations for the public sector workers and will cover chief directors, directors and officers of ministries and governmental agencies.
He said his outfit will try and take 30 days to sort out the technicalities involved in paving the way for the successful migration.
“After the month, we can give ourselves, about two weeks thereabout to review the work and get everything sorted out.”
“Now, because their data is already with the Controller and Accountant General’s Department, I don’t foresee any major challenges when it comes to migrating them onto the Single Spine when we complete the major technical work,” Mr Smith-Graham said.
