A Takoradi circuit court has remanded a couple, Osei Kwame and Akua Bernah who have been married for 20 years, in custody for dealing in narcotic drugs at Dedieso in the Western Region.
The pleas were not taken and they will reappear on January 17.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Richard Bortey told the court that on December 24 last year police had information that the accused were dealing in narcotic drugs in their house.
Some policemen from the Drug Law Enforcement Unit from Enchi moved to the house of Kwame and found in his room 428 wrappers of whitish substances suspected to be cocaine and GHc231 cash.
His wife was later arrested at a hideout in Kumasi.
Mr Bortey said when the police interrogated the accused they admitted ownership of the substances but mentioned one Saedi at Kumasi as the one who gave the stuff to them to look for more clients at Dedieso.
