The National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Trobu constituency is promising to transform the constituency if given the nod in December.
To demonstrate her commitment, Maame Efua Sekyi-Aidoo has paid school fees for 40 disadvantaged children and currently working to improve ICT education in the constituency with the intention of tooling and enhancing equal access to education.
Addressing supporters amidst pomp and pageantry during her campaign launch at the Ofankor Park Saturday, she noted that her leadership will be built on developing the businesses of the constituents so as to create wealth which will automatically contribute to the development of the area and the people.
Maame Efua said, she has achievable ideas for his community and promised to work with his people so as to bring the needed transformation, and appealed to delegates to vote for him during the primaries so that he will make his vision and mission manifest in their lives.
She used the opportunity to outline her plan for women, youth and children in the Trobu constituency if she wins the December 7 general elections.
It is her main aim to create a self sufficient constituency through the utilization of every necessary resource in creating jobs to provide income for many households.
Already, ten (10) fully completed boreholes have been shared among five communities: Afeaman alone had five (5) boreholes, Stadium had two (2) whilst Aborkorpe,Teacher Korpe, and ‘Anyway’, all suburbs of Trobu had one each, whilst five others at Asofa were still under construction.
As someone who is very passionate about widows, the aspiring MP has expanded the ‘Maame Efua’s’ Widow Fund to over 150 widows in the constituency.
Under Maame Efua’s benevolence, a number of motorbikes have been donated to the Asofan and the Amasaman Police to help expedite actions on crime combat, whilst money has been pumped into the completion of a Police Post at Tantra, a suburb of the Constituency.
Also, she has flooded the constituency with many projects and social interventions which has directly benefited residents of Trobu.
Based on this trackrecord, Maame Efua Sekyi-Aidoo at the launch of her campaign at the Ofankor Park, Saturday she will do more for voted into power.
Also, NDC Greater Accra Chairman, Joseph Ade Coker called on party members to be vigilant for a resounding victory in the December polls.
He was optimistic of victory in the Trobu constituency given the many infrastructural developments in the area.
“We will match the NPP boot-for boot, bumper-to bumper in Trobu to win the seat” he stressed.
Ade Coker urged party members to embark on a house-to house campaign for a landslide victory for the NDC.
Also present at the launch were campaign Coordinator of the NDC, Kofi Adams, Greater Accra Minister, Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo, regional and national executives and many leading members of the party.
